Hello to all, and welcome to Tsunami's Adventures. Tsunami is an Irish spotted Newfoundland and is a proud member of the Irish spotted Newfoundland Society. (Thanks Gizmo...http://gizmosav.blogspot.com/2009/03/irish-spotted-newfoundland-society.html)

Tsunami came to our family when he was just a wee little one.

He was only 9 weeks old when he arrived, and weighted only 20 lbs. He is now 10 months old and weights 110lbs. Boy these Newfoundlands grow fast. Tsunami quickly found his place in our family of 9 and settled right in with our 7 kids.

Tsunami has brought so much excitement and joy into our lives. He attends training classes every Saturday. We are slowly working our way towards a CGC award for him. He is truly full of life and passion for us and in return we show him lots of loves back. He has a special knack for giving the worlds best kisses. If your not careful, you'll end up basically taking a bath with his tongue. He has such a gentle, yet exhuberant spirit inside of him. His ability to taylor his antics for each of our kids is amazing. To our 3 year old, he is gentle and peaceful. To our 14 year old, he is also gentle but adds a little bit of spice to her life. And for me, well lets just say he's down right a big old bear.

This blog is being started to share some of the Adventures that Tsunami has. I enjoy taking him to the forest for his daily walks and he just has so much fun. Before Tsunami arrived at our home, we found an invaluable place on the WWW. A hidden gem if you will. www.newf.net has become a piece of heaven for us and for Tsunami. The people on the forums have given us advice, shared in our joys, and laughed at some of the antics that Tsunami has done. This web site is full of all the information you could ever need about Newfoundlands. And if it's not actually written, the people on the forums are loaded with experience in the breed. Many are breeders, many are just members with Newfies and other dogs. But all are die hard Newfoundland lovers. I recently shared one of Tsunami's adventures on a post on this site, and received lots of comments to start making children's books. I had to laugh, only because I don't have the first clue as to where to start. So I figured I would start a blog and go from there.

So please sit back and enjoy the Adventures of Tsunami.
